I have a rental home, I would like to sell it to my son, he would be a first time homebuyer the amt financed would be a lot less than for comparable homes in the area, however credit and income would be an issue could he buy it thru a 1st time fha program with me as co-signer?

Hello bret.

Welcome to the forum.

I think you want to be the co-signer to help your son to buy the home. The first time buyers usually get some added advantages and the credit score will not be scrutinize vigorously. But how much does he earns? How much is the value of the property? Have you contacted with any lending institute?
