Neither my husband nor I have ever purchased a home. My husbands Dad passed away in 2000 and we inherited a piece of property, somewhat improved with an appraised (done in Feb 2010) value of $75,000. Anyway we want to get a construction loan to improve the property and put a manufactured home on it. Do we qualify as first time home buyers??

Hi,

If you purchasing home first time then you will eligible to get first time home buyer tax credit. Yes, if you getting loan for buying or construct a home then you will get first time home buyer tax credit.

Thanks. Laughing Laughing Laughing
