Goverment $8000 TAx Credit

Yeah, seems like the market is making a significant comeback (despite the ever-growing number of foreclosures) which does not bode well for me I suppose. Perhaps time to stop putting all of my eggs in one basket and look elsewhere.

I beleive, realistically speaking, at this point I only have a couple weeks left to look while still remaining eligible for the credit.

well, mike you don't say where you are, but i'm surprised to hear about "significant combacks" anywhere in the usa. i can't disagree about the eggs/baskets, certainly. let's not give up hope on the tax credit yet, though. the congressional delegation here has been positive in responding to my emails, so i'd think that's a good indication that congress will continue it. let's hope so.

nevertheless, we may not know that too soon, so shopping isn't a bad idea at all.

Ah yes, I suppose the state I'm living in would have a significant impact on amount of time it takes to close on a house... I'm in NY.

As for the "comebacks", from the reports I've seen, it seems as though the foreclosure trend is slowing, but i could be wrong - this certainly wouldn't be the first time for me!

don't count yourself as the only one, mike. look how wrong the entire mortgage/financial/investment/and on and on and on people were.

not too many people saw all this coming...but then again many were wearing blinders.
