Has anyone looked into the tips for First Time buyers at "firsthomeexperience.com". I've found lots of great stuff on the site and saw there is a chance to win some prizes too.

what are prizes for first time home buyer?

the first and best prize i can think of is that you receive a set of keys when you close.
another prize you get is a mortgage to repay.
then, of course, you get neighbors who will alternately get on your nerves and make you feel welcome...usually the welcome comes first.

that's just off the top of my head...i'm sure there's more that the rest of us can think of.

Maybe your asking about the $8,000 tax credit for first time homebuyers?

As long as you close by December 1st that would be a prize!

and let's hope it gets extended. i'm hoping all those who are potential first time homebuyers are contacting their congressional representatives to be sure to let them know how important the tax credit is to prospective buyers.

As for prizes- there is a weekly drawing for $100 gift card at Sears and a larger grand prize with

• $3,000 Sears gift card
• $500 ServiceMaster gift card
• An AHS Home Warranty FlexPlan

But on the site anyone can get homebuying tips with a free 24-page booklet geared toward First Time Home Buyers.

Really, you should just check it out for yourself- the site is designed to reach buyers and real estate professionals.
