My mom-in-law wants to add her daughter, my wife Colleen to her property deed. The property is located in Fort Walton Beach Florida and the mortgage was paid in full several years ago.

My question is what is the best (and simplest way) to add her name to the deed without going through probabe?

Thanks

As the property is free and clear, your mother-in-law can add your wife's name to the property with the help of a warranty deed. Once the deed is filled out, it needs to be recorded at the county recorder's office. It's better to take the help of an attorney in order to get the deed drafted.
