The anti-deficiency statutes prohibit the lenders from seeking deficiency judgment against borrowers. If they cannot get a deficiency judgment against you, they cannot garnish your wages or come after your personal bank accounts. However, the anti-deficiency statutes do not apply to every situation. You need to consult a foreclosure attorney to find out if the statutes are applicable in your situation and if your lender can come after you for the deficiency.
