DizzyinFl Guest	Posted: Sat Sep 20, 2008 12:42 pm    Post subject: FHA with non-purchasing spouse Like 0 Dislike 0 I would like to purchase primary residence in Florida using FHA.My credit,income,dti etc would qualify me.However,wife has poor credit. Could I do the FHA loan myself?

People with a low credit score can apply for FHA loans if he has a good repayment history for the past one year before they apply for the loan. If your wife do not have a good repayment history for the last one year, I think that you should apply for the loan in your name only.
