Hi arsuarez!
Welcome to forums!
You cannot file a quitclaim deed and transfer the property of West Virginia while living in Florida. The quitclaim deed forms for both the states may be different. Moreover, you'll have to record the deed at the county recorder's office where the property is located.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

| Can a deed and title on a property in WV be transfered to another person while there is a mortgage on the property? |

the physical location of a person has nothing to do with whether a deed can be completed and recorded appropriately. as long as the proper state-specific document is completed correctly and filed correctly, a person in florida can do a transaction on a property in west virginia...vice versa as well. _________________ George M.
