When our parents died, their house was put in my brother and sister and my name. About a month ago my husband and I bought them out. How do I go about getting the house in my husband and my name? I don't know if a quickclaim is the way to go. My brother and sister are all in agreement with us having the house. I live in Florida and the house is in Michigan

Hi grands!

Welcome to forums!

I agree with Sunny that quitclaim deed is the easiest way to transfer the property in your name. You can check out the sample quitclaim deed forms in order to transfer the property in your name. However, if the property is free and clear, then you can even use a warranty deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
