Property Tax and Other Related Taxes
• Homeowners (aged 65 or above) whose household income is $23,463 or more per year (2006 figure) can receive a homestead exemption from property tax of $25,000 in certain counties and cities of Florida.
• Veterans (At least 65 years old partially disabled honorably discharge and must have been a Florida resident at the time of joining) can eligible for property tax discount on homestead property as per 2006 laws.
• There is no inheritance tax but one has to pay limited estate tax.
