How to take name off deed to my home

You'll have to refinance the mortgage in your name and then ask the person to sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you.

I was in a relationship it turned bad.I would like to remove their name from the deed.Is there any other way to remove it knowing they will not sign a Quit Claim Form.?.

OK no wthe loan isnt in the other person's name only in mine.

Hi Al,

Unless they sign a quitclaim deed, you won't be able to remove their names from the property deed. For further assistance in this matter, you should contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.
