I am a part owner of a house in Florida. I am only on the title. The house is getting ready to go into foreclosure. How will this effect me?

Hi ADurham!

Welcome to forums!

As you are only on the title of the property and not on the mortgage, your credit will not be affected. You will only lose the property if it is foreclosed.

However, there are various ways to avoid foreclosure. The other owners of the property may contact the lender and discuss the various options that they have like short sale, deed in lieu and loan modification Check out the following link to know more about various ways to avoid foreclosure:

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
