My mom and brother owned property equally. Mom died 5 years ago and I just fund out that her name was never taken off the deed and my brother quitclaimed his share equally to his daughter and his girlfriend. His name is no longer on the property. My question is, do I have any claim to my moms share of the house and how much. I live in Florida.

Hi TONIACE!

Welcome to forums!

If your mother's name is still mentioned on the property deed, then you may be able to claim a share of the property. You need to file an affidavit of heirship in order to get your mother's share of property transferred in your name.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
