I'm considering filing for bankruptcy in Florida. I quit claim my deed on a property. How will this effect the bankruptcy?

If you've signed a quit claim deed and transferred the property to someone else, you won't be able to file bankruptcy immediately. If you do so, it will be considered as a fraud. The trustee will have the right the bring the property back into your estate. You'll have to wait for at least a year in order to file it.

a home equity loan is already a lien on a property, unless that particular lender erred somehow.
