Like 0 Dislike 0 Hi, my friend signed a Quitclaim deed to me one year ago . The mortgage is in her name but few months ago she stop making payments. The bank serve her with Notice of lis pendens few weeks ago . She did not take any action and now I recieved the same papers. What do I need to do?

You are not responsible for the mortgage as the loan docs do not mention your name. You won't be liable for making any payments.
