My brother wants to quitclaim a Florida lot to me. We both live in Connecticut. How do we go about doing this?

Hi gentilel.

Welcome to the forum.

IF your brother is the owner of the property then he can simply quitclaim the property to you. The deed needs to be notarized and recorded in the county recorder's office. Know more about quitclaim deed at http://www.mortgagefit.com/quitclaim-deed.html

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck.
Larry

Hello.

He should use a Florida approve quitclaim deed form as the property is in Florida. Contact an attorney so that he can guide you and you don't face any problem in future. Let me know if you have any further queries.
