Like 0 Dislike 0 My divorce settlement signed by an Okaloosa county judge in Florida awards me my home (and the mortgage). Do I still need to get my ex-wife to do a quitclaim deed? Or can I use the divorce settlement to do it myself? If so, how do I start that process? - Ron

Once this is done, you need to refinance the loan in your name and release her from the liability of paying the loan.
