In Florida can a person be put on a title without being on the mortgage and is this a stupid move

Its rocky. We have 3 kids and he says if his name is not on the title when i close he will leave me because he is not on the mortgage. I tried to do it on my own in case he leaves for the 100th time.

However, this won't be a good move as the person will have ownership rights to property but won't be responsible for the loan payments.
