My father bought several properties a few years ago. In 2005 the first property he bought he put my husband and I on the quit claim deed. He wanted to gift us the property. Now my husband and I have moved out of the property at my father's request and I need to get off the quit claim deed. How do I do that? We are not on the mortgage loan. The property is in Miami, Florida.

lemusbbkkd all you need to do is qive your fahrer a quit claim deed.

since you are not on the loan, you are safe and will not have any impact on your Credit score if he stops making paymnets.

good luck and feel free to ask any questions.

Hi lemusbbkkd,

You'll have to sign a quitclaim deed in your father-in-law's name in order to remove your name from the property deed. Once the deed is filled out, notarize and record it at the county recorder's office.

Thanks
