moving question

I am a teacher that is moving from Georgia to Florida this summer. I will need to get an FHA loan for my housing in Florida. I have been told that I can not close on a house down there until I have a 30 day check stub. Is this true? Why isn't a signed contract from the school district considered verification of income?

If my wife and I start work on August 17th and we do not get paid until September 15th, where is my family of 5 supposed to live until we can close on our new home?

Has anyone else had a problem with this?

In my opinion it should suffice.Have you tried this option. If not then please proceed if yes then the question comes about living with a new house for 1 month.
In this case you can ask for the school administrator to provide you a temporary housing facility.

keep us informed.

shop around for a lender in that area who'll accept the signed contract you have with your future employer. they still exist, i am sure.
