I received a Tax Foreclosure notice from a lawyer--what do I do

There is no mortgage on the home--just owed taxes.

You can verify if your state allows for hardship exemption or tax deferral program. In such a case you may need to prove that you've been in some kind of financial hardship due to which you couldn't pay the taxes.
