Can a foreclosure not listed on my credit report but is in my ch 7 bk papers (discharged) affect me when it comes to getting a mortgage? I was not on the mortgage of the foreclosed home, just on title.

Hi yolandahoward,

You have mentioned that the foreclosure was not listed in your credit report. This is because your name was not on the mortgage docs. If your name was not on the mortgage docs, you will not be held responsible for the foreclosure of the property. However, if you did not take the loan in your name, then you should not have included it in your bankruptcy.

As your bankruptcy has been discharged, you'll have to wait for 2 years in order to get FHA loan and 4 years in order to get conventional mortgage.
