Hi Mark,

A deed in lieu of foreclosure is a good way to avoid foreclosure. It does affect your credit scores negatively, but it also helps one avoid the adverse effects of a regular foreclosure on credit report. But I don't think a 'Countrywide deed in lieu of foreclosure' is any different than a normal deed in lieu offered by some other lenders.
