I signed the Deed In Lieu of back in August and the bank has still not filed it with the county. Is there a statute of how long the bank has to do this? My credit rebuilding has been delayed because, of what I think is negligence, of them filing the property in their name with the county.

Hi Kate Unhappy!,
I don't think that the bank should take so much time to process a deed in lieu foreclosure. It will be better if you can speak to the bank immediately about this and ask them to take the required steps. Or else, it will take more time to rebuild your credit and can even badly affect it.
Thanks |

Hi Guest,
You should try contacting their customer service department. In case, they are not giving you a correct answer, you can contact a lawyer and ask him/her to deal with the lender.
Thanks |
