if my home that has been foreclosed on is auctioned off how long after that in the state of new york would we have to get our things out. Have handicapped children and a man with parkinsons. We have been told and are fearful that sheriffs can come and tell us to get out in twenty minutes

Hi sweeetspirit,

After the foreclosure sale is over, the lender will send you a Notice of Eviction. The time period to leave the property will be mentioned in that notice. You'll have to leave the property within that time period.

Thanks
