Hi cowan!

Welcome to forums!

Are you speaking about a judicial foreclosure here? In case of a judicial foreclosure, the lender will have to file a complaint and record a notice of Lis Pendens in the court. If the court finds the debt valid, it will pass a judgment for the total amount owed, including the costs of the foreclosure process. Otherwise, the property will not be foreclosed.

However, you have mentioned that only 15 days are left for the foreclosure process to take place. In that case, you should speak to the lender and check out the options you can avail of. Know about the various ways to avoid foreclosure from the given link:

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi cowan,

You can definitely ask your bankruptcy lawyer to request the court to grant you some more time. However, it will be totally the court's discretion whether it will give you some more time or not.

Thanks
