I am current on my first mortgage but i have not paid on my 2nd mortgage since 5/09. i called the 2nd mortgage company today and they told me that it had been written off as a bad debt. can they still come back and foreclose on my house?

If the account has been sold off to a collection agency, you will have negotiate with them and pay off the dues.
