Hi I BOUGHT A HOME 3 YEARS AGO. i thought they said taxes were paid for a year. They were not. The mortage co. added the taxes onto my loan.
igot behind but caught up after starting forclosure.
then this year my mon went to pay taxes before they were due and they had already been paid by mortage co. Again fee's and paymet increase. i couldnt pay. the co started forclosure and are set to sell house the frist week in feb. I sent the co. about 10,000. dollars (about1/2 of what they wanted) REG.mail last week, i have not talked to them sence, will they still sell the house? And how can they charge you so much to process the taxes and forcloseure fee's into the loan?

Hi abyliz,

The mortgage company shouldn't have included the property taxes into the loan. They could have simply asked you to pay the taxes. I think addition of taxes have raised your principal amount thereby raising your payments. That's the reason you've been in default.

Since there has been no communication between the mortgage compnay and you, therefore I think they are going to sell the house. After all they've already started the foreclosure process. However, there's one way out. If you can file chapter 13 bankruptcy, you may be able to avoid foreclosure.

Good luck
