Forbearance

Can or will lenders offer forbearance after foreclosure has been filed?
Hi Cindy,

It would have been better if you could have requested for the option of forbearance before the lender had filed foreclosure. The lender could have accepted the forbearance option then. However, as the lender has already filed foreclosure, I guess, it would be difficult for you to get forbearance. I would still suggest you to speak to the lender once and try to negotiate with him. It will be the lender's discretion whether he would accept it or not.

Thanks

it will be really difficult in this particular case but i suppose if you can prove them that the forbearance is important in lieu of the loss of income or financial problems then it may be possible for you to get it one.

but it is rare to get forbearance after foreclosure.
