I presume my home is in foreclosure although I have not heard from the bank in months. I included it in my bankruptcy which was discharged in February. I am now beginning to remove my belongings from the home so as to be able to turn the house over to the bank if and when they take it. It is my intention to leave the house in good shape so someone else will buy it and care for it. Can I disassemble the porch I built and take it with me? It is not attached to the house. Thank you.

Hi rhondapaynter,

As the porch was build later on and is not attached to the house, I think you will be able to remove it from the property and take it along with you. However, before doing so, it's better to inform the lender about the same. If he has any objections he will let you know about it.

Thanks
