How long does a person get to stay in a house after the ratification of Sale?
Or the new owner goes to settlement?

Hi Guest,

The time a borrower has to move out after the foreclosure auction or the sheriff's sale, varies from lender to lender. The time is generally mentioned in the eviction notice. In some states, the borrower is also allowed a redemption period of about 6 months, during which time he can stay in the property. As far as I know, there is no set redemption period in MD. The court actually decides the duration of the redemption period on a case-by-case basis.
