My home was in my moms and my name but the mortgage has always been in my moms name. My mother passed away last year I have been paying the mortgage since. If I cannot afford to pay and the bank forecloses will it affect my credit?

Have you refinanced the mortgage on your name after your mother passed away? If you have refinanced then it is going to hurt your credit. But if you haven't refinanced the mortgage on your name then also it is going to affect your credit but it should affect lesser. By the way how much equity do you have? Why don't you sell the property and pay off the lender? _________________ Good is the Enemy of Great.
