My husband and I make $50,000 a year together. We're expecting a promotion on his end in November that could move that to $60,000. For rural Georgia that's comfortable living for our area. My credit score at the moment is 640. That's the middle score. We've found the house we want (with a few modifications) and would like to have it built next April. It was built at $180,000. The only negatives on our credit reports is one of my private student loans. The loan officers did not do as we agreed upon when I was on maternity leave which lead to a big 3 month mess that we haven't recovered from yet. Our student loan debt is the only enemy we have. Do you think there's hope for the April 2011 deadline for our home?

Thanks for the insight!

You can get a mortgage now, so, I would say you could also get one in April, 2011
