I filed chapter 13 in 2006, 2008 and 2010 in Georgia. All three were dismissed. Can I file another chapter 13? Also the last one that I filed was in February 2010, can that one be reopened and will I have to take the counseling course? The first and second ones were dismissed because I missed some payments and the final was was because I filed it myself and I did not know how to fill out all of the schedules. I was told by friends that I could not file any more chapter 13s because I had already filed the maximum number of times. However, one person told me that I could file again since none of them were discharged. Can I file again? I need an immediate reply as they are foreclosing on my home this Tuesday.

Hi rinc,

You will have to contact a bankruptcy attorney and he will be the best person to let you know whether or not you'll be able to file Chapter 13 again at such a short span of time.
