I have been told that not all states allow you to do a Deed in Lieu. How do I find out which states allow deed in lieu's? I am interested in the state of Georgia in particular.

i found this with an internet search:

it would appear that lenders in Georgia will favor a foreclosure over a deed in lieu of foreclosure.

Georgia is a non-judicial foreclosure state so very unlikely a deed in lieu of foreclosure would be the norm unless for some reason there was not a power of sale clause in the lender's security deed.
