I have to walk away from my mortgage in Georgia and the house will go in foreclosure. I moved into my mobile home in Florida which is paid for. Can they touch my SS, Survivor Benefits from the Army from my deceased husband and my retirement income from my Government job? I am not working anymore. Thank yu

Welcome Pepetruelovr,

The lender cannot go after your social security benefits or your retirement accounts in order to recover his dues. However, if you have a savings account or a checking account, then the lender can garnish them.
