Having been recently divorced and required by the court in Georgia to quitclaim the property of my house to my now ex wife I find altho my name is still on mortgage I am still liable. Nothing stated in divorce decree from her lawyer in regards to her refinancing. My question is can I sue her lawyer for not including a time limit for her to refinance?

Hi Wrench4hire!

Welcome to forums!

You can definitely sue her lawyer for not including the time-limit for refinance. However, it would be better if you could contact your ex-wife and ask her to refinance the mortgage in her name so that your name is removed from the mortgage.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
