We live in Georgia and my grandma gave each of her children property that has been in the family for generations. The attorney that handled putting the property deeds in the childrens name worded the deed that no spouse of the deceased child gets the property. Upon the death of my grandma's children the property goes to their children. In other words, the deed states no spouse of the deceased, and no spouse of the children that inherits the property is entitled to the land. If the deceased's children do not want the property they have to sell it back into the family. Can they do a quit claim deed to give the property to the spouse of the deceased with the property deed worded this way?
