harleygrey Joined: 15 Jan 2011 Posts: 1 1.79 Dollars($)	Posted: Sat Jan 15, 2011 3:52 pm    Post subject: Mortgage after Bankruptcy Like 0 Dislike 0 Two years after my bankruptcy was discharged, I found out that my attorney did not reaffirm my 2nd mortgage & now I am having a difficult time trying to get a mortgage so that I can sell my house & move. My attorney says it's not his fault & will not help me to fix this problem so that I could buy a different home. Any advice???

There shouldn't be any problem in selling off the property. Immediately after a bankruptcy discharge, you won't be able to qualify for a mortgage. You will have to wait for around 2-4 years in order to qualify for a loan.
