Two years after my bankruptcy was discharged, I found out that my attorney did not reaffirm my 2nd mortgage & now I am having a difficult time trying to get a mortgage so that I can sell my house & move.
My attorney says it's not his fault & will not help me to fix this problem so that I could buy a different home.

Any advice???

Welcome harleygrey,

If your second mortgage has not been reaffirmed, then it only means that you're not personally liable for paying it off. There shouldn't be any problem in selling off the property.

Immediately after a bankruptcy discharge, you won't be able to qualify for a mortgage. You will have to wait for around 2-4 years in order to qualify for a loan.

Unless you're getting an FHA-insured Reverse Mortgage - the waiting time is 1 day after the discharge.
