Hi Need a lender for a home in TX FILED chapter 7 15 months ago its been discharged for 13 months now. stong income and 100k with 80000 in 401k .. can use some for down.

Hi gsa,

You will have to wait for at least 2 years after discharge from chapter 7 bankruptcy in order to get a home loan. After 2 years, you can apply for an FHA loan, given you have improved your credit since the discharge. If you want a conventional loan, you need to wait for 3-4 years.
