Is there any loan out there for a non-occupant co-borrower or co-signer that is NOT a BLOOD RELATIVE?

Hi Angie,

FHA does allow non-occupant co-borrowers to sign on the loan, but he/she has to be either a blood relative or has to have a long-standing, substantial family-like relationship with the primary borrower. Conventional loans now have more stringent underwriting guidelines. Most of the conventional lenders would not allow a co-borrower for a loan, unless he/she is going to live in the property.
