How can you find out who your lender is?

Like 0 Dislike 0 How does one find out who the actual lender is on a home loan once it is with a servicer? Our mortgage is being serviced by Nationstar. They will not work with us at all! But, what if the lender is one of those that received monies from the government?

But I doubt whether they would like to give you that information. There are portfolio lenders in the market as well, who themselves fund the loans they originate. What do you mean by lenders who receive "monies from the government"? Do you mean the lenders that offer FHA-insured loans or the conventional loans backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? You also have not mentioned why your lender is nor working with you. Are they taking too much of time in processing your loan application?
