If you own the house and want to keep it, you need to pay the mortgage. If the payments are stopped, the mortgage company will foreclose on the property. But if you didn't sign the loan documents, you're not legally responsible to make the loan payments.

However, I'd like you to elaborate on the situation a little more to help me understand the issue.

Normally you tkae mortgae when you do nto have or do not want to use all yoru money to buy a house. If you are luck and do nto ahev any loan, then you will not pay any mortgage.

But you will still need to pay atleast Property taxes and Insurance will depends on you

Good luck and feel free to ask

if one owns a house and there is a mortgage on that house, then payment of that mortgage is essential. the alternative (non-payment) would result in the lender taking action to redeem its collateral (foreclosure).

if there is no mortgage on the property, then there is no need to pay a mortgage.

George were you able to follow any of those other explanations because I got lost. I know it was a vague question but it only became more complicated until you answered.

mortgage=payment
taxes + insurance = payment

no money and no payment = foreclosure = NO MORE HOUSE

last first, again...you have to keep an eye on your login/logout situation, no doubt. activity keeps you on, of course.

i was as befuddled as you i think, brian. i don't know that we've figured out what the original question was all about yet, but we do our best, after all.
