Probably show you as 2 months late on the credit and tack on additional fees?
Just an educated guess.

Good Luck

Hi htrmama.

Welcome to the forum.

I agree with Brain that the lender may charge late fees and it will be shown two months late on your credit. It will also drop your credit score to some extent. Better pay it ASAP.

Best of luck,
Larry

Hi htrmama,

A lot of collections departments are ruthless nowadays and I've heard of them even threatening forclosure even after just a 30day past due. I would relax a bit. These are nothing but hollow threats because with the hit mortgage companies are taking nowadays they wouldn't forclose on a house unless they absolutely have to. You have to realize that the people calling you have a quota they have to meet and unfortunately some of them will do whatever it takes to hit that quota. Aside from a few rare instances, most collections depts are very hard to deal with.

Good Luck!

Get them a coipy of the check It will cause you nightmares dealing with credit repair if they do not show records of it being paid and you go on assuming that since you paid it all is fine... Make sure they document that payment ASAP.
