can you remove a party from title deeds but still have them remain on mortgage?

Why would someone agree to that? That is crazy
No longer own an item but still be obligated to pay on it?
They can be removed but they have to agree to it

Usually terms are agreed on as far as who takes over the mortgage, etc. If you have him removed from title, you should probably take him off of the mortgage. This is customary procedure when it comes to separation and divorce. I am sure he would expect to be removed from the mortgage as well. With rates taking a dive lately, you might even benefit by doing a refinance and getting into a lower rate and removing him from the mortgage and title at the same time.
