my name is Beverly,and I got Divorced 3 years ago,my x and I got a first time buyers loan to purchase a house,in 1997 and we got divorced in 2007 and he kept the house,and the lawyers said that my name would come off the house automatic,so I didnt think anything of ,today I went to buy me a 2010 Camry,but when they put my information in it came up that I was 11 months behind on my mortage,but I dont have the house he does and it has totally messed up my credit worse than it was,can you please help me and let me know what to do,I am trying to get me and my three kids a car to ride in,thanks in advance.

Welcome meshiariah,

As far as I can understand, your name was mentioned on the mortgage docs of your previous property. Your husband defaulted on the mortgage payments which had negatively affected your credit. It would have been better if your husband would have refinanced the loan in his name after you transferred the property to him. As your credit has been ruined, it won't be possible for you to get a mortgage.
