Guest	Posted: Thu Nov 19, 2009 7:16 pm    Post subject: mortgage loan and title Like 0 Dislike 0 I am planning to apply for a mortgage financing as the only borrower. Can I still include a family member as co-owner in the title even though that family member is not included as a co-borrower.

You can have an ownership interest to the property even though you do not co-sign on the mortgage. However, as George said, you need to talk with your lender and get their permission before you add someone to the title.
