| Im currently working with Wells Fargo and guy keeps telling me he can get it done. He has has emergency problems which I have given him a chance. My lease for my apartment is ending in 2 months and we have been working with him since June. I just want to get a loan and I'm losing confidence in him and just want to get a home loan. My wife has a 620 Medium score, it wouldnt be first time homebuyers, just straight up VA home loan for about 175,000, I live in Albuquerque, NM. PLEASE HELP? |

Hi Carlos,
The minimum credit score required for a VA loan is 620. This means your medium score has to be 620 or more to qualify for a VA loan. The credit requirement could be a bit flexible if your score is a little less than 620. However, I'm not sure if any lender would want to offer you the loan with a 602 credit score. Under the current market scenario, it could be a bit difficult for you to get approved for the loan. |

jenkin7, you're confusing us. if minimum is 620 but the requirement could be a bit flexible at "a little less than 620," and uncertainty about whether lenders would work with a 602 score...there is way too much ambiguity in your post.
carlos, i've seen many posts on these forums from others who maintain that such a score is workable...shop around. i don't know who can do it, but apparently it's still being done. _________________ George M. Akerley
