My soon to be ex's refinance window is running out. He wants to get the refi done before the divorce is final. What is the process at the time of the closing to secure me that I get my money out of the house? I am in Illinois

Hi Lilly!

Welcome to forums!

You need to consult a lawyer in this regard. Generally, after the divorce, the court orders the refinance of the property and mentions about the payment to the ex-spouse.
