Hi Devdas,

In India, some leading banks like ICICI, Corporation bank & LIC housing has declared that they are going to launch reverse mortgage scheme very soon. According to the bank officials, as the concept of reverse mortgage is very new, it will take a few years to gain acceptance in the country.

So this concept of reverse mortgage is yet to be operationalized by these leading banks.

I suppose the LIC Housing Finance is going to launch the reverse mortgage loan by next month in the Indian market as it has seen a great potential capacity for this new business scheme to capture the market.
